Larkhill Primary School is located in the garrison town of Larkhill, Wiltshire. It lies about 1.8 miles west of Durrington Village and just 1.5 miles north of the prehistoric monument of Stonehenge, making us one of the closest primary schools in the country to this world famous site.
In 2011 major development work was undertaken with the addition of a brand new KS1 classroom and outdoor play area, remodelling work to the grounds and environs, as well as a full shaded covering, thus allowing year round use of the KS1 outdoor education area. In 2013 further work was undertaken with the addition of two new Reception classrooms, toilets and an all-year outdoor play area as well as the refurbishment of the ICT suite and staffroom. These refurbishment works now gives our school the capacity and space for a possible two form entry, when required.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have such an extensive site and first class facilities. This enables us to provide a wide variety of excellent learning opportunities to the children, However, we are not complacent and, as part of our school improvement planning, we are continually striving to improve these facilities and opportunities.
