In-Year Admissions & Moving to Larkhill Primary School

Since the school population consists mainly of children of service families from the local garrison, Larkhill School’s staff and pupils are used to children joining the school mid-term, and endeavour to make the change of schools as smooth as possible.

Parents moving to the Larkhill area should contact our school office as soon as possible to arrange a visit for the family. They will be given the opportunity to meet the head teacher and class teacher, see the school and how it functions, and have any questions answered. Applications for a school place will need to be submitted through the Wiltshire Council website.

For information regarding in-year admissions, please visit the Wiltshire Council website.

New Starters - What to Expect

We recognise that the start children have to school life is of vital importance, and at Larkhill, we endeavour to make it a happy and positive experience. The early years unit has been set up to assist with the transition from home to school life. Prospective parents are actively encouraged to visit the school, and appointments to meet the head teacher can be made very easily via the school office.

You can find out more information about your child’s start to school on our Reception Transition page and in the download below.
